Schwerpunkte in Forschung und Lehre
Elena Ippendorf, M.A., is a research assistant at the University of Hannover (Germany). She teaches British literatures and cultures from the 16th to the 21st century with a focus on British theatre and performance and the literature and culture of Wales. Her master's thesis "Genre and Geography in Welsh Crime Fiction" has received the GAPS Graduate Award (recognition prize) in 2021. Her dissertation project, tentatively titled "Criminal Landscapes: Imagining Wales in Contemporary Crime Narratives", concerns entanglements of place and identity in recent Welsh crime fiction on page and screen.
